Have you ever wondered about the evolution of the
stove? This article briefly explains the evolution
of fire and the stoves that are now used for
cooking fine meals in homes across America every
night of the week.
Of course, fire is one of the oldest discoveries
known to man and is used for heating water,
cooking, and for keeping warm. Fire is used for
cooking foods like meat, vegetable, and most any
other food you want to eat. The electric fireplace
is one of the most recent versions of fire being
used for heat. Mans life changed dramatically with
the discovery of fire. Fire is not used for many
different reasons today than when it was first
invented; we still use it to stay warm and to cook
with.
Thinks to modern technology we now have evolved to
using electric stoves and fireplaces to cook with
and to keep warm. This means we don~t have to
spend hours trying to build a fire, everything is
done automatically for us now.
The role of fire has changed a lot too. Kitchen
stoves have become increasingly popular as they
essentially provide the same heating and cooking
capabilities as was the case for the cave dwellers
all those millions of years ago. Once modern
stoves were invented however, the fire became more
refined and was split between living room and
kitchen, with many abodes having both facilities
in their homes.
When electricity was invented it brought stoves to
a whole new level. Electric stoves and fireplaces
are more advanced today than ever. Stoves have a
ventilation system built right in and can have an
additional stove ventilation system installed if
needed. Fireplaces no longer need a ventilation
system if you are using an electric one.
If you are cooking or trying to keep warm it is
easy to control the amount of heat given off by
your electric fireplace or stove. Since these
devices are controlled by electricity all you have
to do is turn the temperature settings up or down
according to your needs.
Since you can control the settings for an electric
stove or fireplace they are more accurate than gas
or wood burning stoves. With wood or gas the heat
can begin to fluctuate making changes in the
amount of heat that is being given off, meaning
you have less control. Having an electric
fireplace or stove is a lot easier to keep clean
and in good maintenance. You never have to clean
the chimney or scoop out ashes. Cutting wood is a
thing of the past along with its mess. With
electric fireplaces all you need to do is wipe it
clean every winter and electric stoves just need
to be wiped down from anything that may have
spilled on it.
